Will this program cost me anything?

No. The Buffalo Childhood Weight Control Program is totally free of cost.

How long does the program last?

The program will extend across 6 months.

What will my family and I learn throughout this program?

Families will learn healthier eating behaviors, innovative ways to increase physical activity, and behavior modification methods to help you and your child lose weight.

I lost my Habit Book. What should I do?

Go to the “My Account” tab of this website and log in using your username and password. Click on “My Downloads” to download a printable version of the habit book. You can print this from home or elsewhere to record foods. If you do not have access to a printer, please contact us at (716) 829-5789 and we will provide you with a printed Habit Book.

I have a friend who wants to enroll their family in the program. Can they join me at the next meeting?

Unfortunately, since this is a research program, we are only able to offer a limited number of spots in the current Childhood Weight Control Program and therefore cannot accommodate guests. You can still be an “Agent of Change” in your community or social circles by encouraging the healthy behaviors you learn about in the program!

Who can I contact if I have questions about the program?

You can feel free to contact the Division of Behavioral Medicine at  or  with questions about the Buffalo Childhood Weight Control Program.
