The Traffic Light Diet

According to the Traffic Light Diet, foods are divided into RED, YELLOW and GREEN based on calories, energy, and nutrient density.
GREEN foods are GO foods, you can eat a lot of them.

  • Only include vegetables

YELLOW foods approach with CAUTION. They are staples of the diet, but you cannot eat unlimited amounts.

  • Fruit, whole grain bread, fish, lean cuts of meat, low-fat dairy products

RED foods are STOP foods. Eat them in limited amounts. They are high in calories, low in nutrients.

  • Ice cream, pastries, chips, or candy

The Traffic Light Diet has been used in previous studies with weight loss results maintained for as long as 10 years!
